This is that piece: a large, sun-shaped circle, hand-woven from natural cane and wax-covered thread, finished with beads, small stones, and hanging strands that move whenever the air in the room shifts.

A quick note on the name: the woven, circular "dreamcatcher" form is widely sold as home decor today, but it didn't start that way. It originates with the Ojibwe (Anishinaabe) people, who made it as a protective charm — hung over a cradle or bed, meant to let good dreams through while catching bad ones in its web. This piece is a decorative interpretation of that shape, hand-woven by Nepalese artisans; it isn't a reproduction of the original object or connected to the tradition it comes from. We'd rather say that plainly than let the shape imply a history it doesn't carry.
