Soft from the very first wash, the way linen is supposed to be.
Our Stone Washed Linen Tea Towel is handwoven in a small weaving village in southwest India, using premium European flax and weaving techniques passed down through generations of the same community. It's then stone-washed for that lived-in softness most linen only earns after months of use.
It's a Fair Trade piece, medium-weight at 190 gsm, naturally absorbent and quick-drying, in Gold, Sage, Terra Cotta, Oyster, or Flax.
Untreated linen can feel stiff for the first several washes. Stone washing skips that break-in period, so the towel is soft to the touch on day one and only gets better from there. Each piece is handmade in small batches with AZO-free dyes, so no two towels are perfectly identical.
Linen pulls moisture away fast and dries quickly between uses — the reason it matters more for a towel that's doing real dishes every day than color or pattern ever will. Finished with a clean hemmed edge and a hanging loop, it's built to get pulled off the oven handle and put right back to work, not just hung for looks.
