A pleated skirt mid-sway. Morning light through silk curtains. Now, a lamp.
Some objects hold a feeling. The Pleat Lamp holds two: the elegant swing of a pleated skirt in motion, and the way early light filters through silk curtains on a slow morning. Wooj translated both into a sculptural table lamp — airy, refined, and full of quiet movement even standing still.
The pleated shade does the real work, folding light into soft ridges so the glow lands gentle and flattering. It's the difference between a room that's lit and a room that feels lit on purpose.
The Pleat is part of a Wooj collection crafted predominantly from recycled materials — in this case, post-industrial polyethylene reclaimed from the medical industry. Material that would otherwise be waste becomes the thing that lights your evenings. Each lamp is 3D printed, assembled, and shipped from Wooj's Brooklyn studio.
Because of the printing process, every Pleat carries subtle variations in color and texture — small differences that make yours one of a kind.
Softly diffused, warm, and textural — the pleats catch and release the light in fine vertical lines that shift as you move around the room. Beautiful lit; sculptural unlit.
Wired table lamp. Pleated sculptural shade. Made predominantly from recycled post-industrial polyethylene. 3D printed and assembled to order in Brooklyn, New York. Minor variations in color and texture are part of the process. Available in five colors.
Bedrooms and living rooms that lean soft, layered, and considered. Anyone who wants their sustainability choices to also be the prettiest thing in the room. Reading corners and dressers that need a graceful anchor. A meaningful gift for the friend who notices fabric, texture, and light.
Movement, softness, and a second life for the material — all in one warm glow.
